Jamestown Babe Ruth World Series Baseball
The Babe Ruth World Series Board of Directors is proud to announce the upcoming 35th Annual World Series of Wheels, formally the World Series of Cars, to be held in Jamestown on July 22nd, 2018 along with our sponsors. This year we are pleased to announce our Major Sponsor, Dave Warren Dodge Ram, is coming back for the 2nd year. In addition to Dave Warren we are proud to announce other Senior Sponsors, JS Auto Parts Plus and Chautauqua Pools & Power Sports, are back for the 2nd year as well. We are also excited to announce we have Primary Sponsors back this year representing State Farm Insurance – David Snow Agent, Truck-Lite Co., Inc., Combined Life – Brian Conklin, and Cummins Engine. The World Series of Wheels was started in 1984 as a way to help defray the expense of hosting a Babe Ruth World Series here in Jamestown. Jamestown has been successful not only in this car show, but also in hosting 17 World Series events from 1980-2018. In addition to the car show we are in the process of preparing for the upcoming 16-18 Year Old World Series to be held at Diethrick Park from August 4th to 11th, 2018 as well as preliminary plans for 2020. Each one of these series has showcased young baseball talent from all over the United States in addition to bringing a very significant economic boost to the Jamestown area. There are some great additions to the show this year in that we have expanded to include Power Sports, motorcycles, and bicycles. One major addition is a Motorcycle Run, hosted by the Brothers by Choice, will take place with registration beginning at 9:00 a.m. and kickstands up at 10:30 a.m. In addition we are hosting a bounce house for kids and an improved craft and vendor area featuring local craft artists, LuLaRoe, Tastefully Simple, Paparazzi jewelry and much more. The Meals on Wheels Organization will be hosting a breakfast at the Pavilion from 7am to 11 am. In addition many food vendors will be there until 5:00 p.m. including a chicken barbeque.
The World Series of Cars in one of the primary fundraising events for the Babe Ruth World Series and this year’s 35th Annual show to be held in Bergman Park on Baker Street in Jamestown will be no exception. This year also includes a change from an AACA judged show to a participant judged show as done in 2017. This show has been recognized for many years as one of the premier automotive events in Western New York and we hope to continue and grow that reputation.
Registration Forms for vehicle entry and Craft and Vendor Fair are available on our website, www.jamestownworldseries.org. There is also information on our website and Facebook about the car show in general. Additional questions and information can also be addressed to Kim at 716-664-0405.
