The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls Club of Jamestown will open for its fall schedule of youth activities and programming at its 62 Allen Street facility on Wednesday September 6, 2017 for youth members. On September 6, due to the half day of school in the Jamestown School District, the Club will be open for youth members from 12-5 with a free swim from 3:30-4:30. Lunch and a snack will be served. The Club will not be open Wednesday evening.

The Boys & Girls Club offers a variety of affordable recreational, educational and social programs emphasizing the national Boys & Girls Clubs of America goals of academic success, good character & citizenship and healthy lifestyles. The Club serves boys and girls ages 5 to17, (18 if still in High School) in a positive and enjoyable atmosphere with qualified adult supervision.

General open youth program hours beginning Thursday, September 7 are Monday through Friday afternoons from 3:00-5:00 (for ages 5-18, if still in school). During this time program areas will be open by age levels and National Boys & Girls Clubs of America programming will be offered.

General youth hours continue Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. for 7 through 18 year olds and Saturdays 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM for 5 through 18 year olds. The Club is also open for youth activities from 12:00 to 5:00 PM on most school holidays, ½-days and conference days (following the Jamestown Public School calendar).

The minimum age for open recreational attendance during evening time slots is 7 years old. Five and six year olds may attend open recreation hours from 3-5 during the week and on Saturdays, school holidays, vacations and during the summer months.

Open youth activities include swimming, gym, arts & crafts, computers, game rooms and a variety of special events. Most program areas are open during all youth hours, with age groups announced throughout the day for each area.

Youth membership fees are $20.00 per year for 5 through 17 year olds (18 if still in High School). Proof of date of birth is required for purchase of memberships or day passes. Children and teens maymake $1.00 per day payments on memberships until the full membership is paid.

Free Teen Night activities are held each Friday evening from 9:00 to 10:00 PM. (You must arrive by 9:00) for all area teens ages 13 – 17 (18 if still in High School). Teen Nights offer open recreation or special theme activities. Proof of date of birth is required for admission. WCD Boys & Girls Club memberships are not required.

Family Nights are every Thursday evening at the WCD Boys & Girls Club from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. beginning Thursday, September 7. Club memberships are not required. Family Night activities will include game rooms, open gym and computers beginning at 6:00 PM, and Family Swim from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Admission is free for Boys & Girls Club members and $1.00 per non-member youth or adult. Children under age 5 are admitted free. Children and teens are not permitted to participate in Family Night activities unless accompanied by a parent, guardian or other adult relative.
