St. Luke’s Episcopal Church invites the public to join them as they host local health and fitness Coach Mark Wilson for a discussion intended to help participants begin to reclaim their physical, mental, and spiritual health. ‘Fitness 101 with Coach Mark’ will be held on Wednesday, February 27th at 6pm in the church undercroft.

He offers coaching, clinics, and training programs to assist individuals of all fitness levels, with a focus on “fitness for a lifetime”. More information can be found on the website:
St. Luke’s has a long history of commitment to the health and well-being, promoting healthy living in body, mind, and spirit. St. Luke’s Rector, the Rev. Luke Fodor, who personally engaged Wilson as a coach last year to help him train for his first half-ironman distance triathlon, is excited to present this great resource to the community.
“Too often our efforts are placed primarily on the spiritual or mental side of health and we forget about the body.” Fodor says. “Numerous scientific studies have shown that it is physical health and fitness that paves the way to mental and spiritual health. When we get up and moving we begin to feel better about ourselves and adopt a growth mind-set.”
Fodor invites the public to join the free conversation on the 27th, which will also allow time for questions and answers with the Coach.
Free gym passes will also be given to all attendees. “All you need to do is bring your body. Mark will bring his infectious enthusiasm and we’ll have some healthful snacks on hand. Come get healthy with us!”
