The Rotary Club of Greater Jamestown A.M. is pleased to announce their 26th Annual Football Party Fundraiser. The Club has for a quarter of a century proudly presented this event to happy attendees and has turned the days profits into fun events for the children at the Jamestown Eastside YMCA and has been a primary sponsor of the “Bundle Them Up” (coats for kids) program which is organized through the outreach efforts of the Salvation Army. The AM Club, a local piece of Rotary International which has clubs in over 125 nations and boasts over 1.2 million members, also supports local literacy initiatives and participates in an international youth exchange program. The Club is also par of many local and national and international humanitarian efforts.

This year’s Football Party and Fundraiser is scheduled during the Buffalo Bills gridiron contest with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday October 23. Doors will open at noon for a 1:00 kickoff. The location for the party is the Chautauqua Lake Yacht Club at 43 East Lake Avenue in Lakewood, NY. The 25th Annual Fundraiser was also held at the Yacht Club and the welcoming staff helps to promote the success of the event. The Yacht Club’s menu will be enhanced with deep fried turkey cooked by Rotarians Bill Briggs and Tim Grace.

A major feature of the afternoon’s schedule is prizes; cash prizes every quarter, a basket raffle, a silent auction, a 50-50 drawing, homemade Italian cookies and the inevitable football scoring pool. Rotarian Sue DiVincenzo, from Decorator’s Gallery, is in charge of the basket raffle and she can be reached at her shop on First Street if anyone has a prize to donate.

Tickets for the party can be purchased at Quick Solutions on 3rd Street, at any location of Chautauqua Brick and from any Rotarian. The AM Rotary meets in the banquet room at the Babalu Café on 2nd Street at 7:15 on Wednesday mornings. Visitors, future members, and visiting Rotarians are always welcome.

The Rotary Club of Greater Jamestown A.M. hopes you will join us for our fundraiser as we work and have fun for the benefit of children in our community.
