Chalkboards line the ceiling, declaring the multitude of offerings held in the seemingly small store. A few tables sit in the center of the room, giving rest and comfort to those who stop in for a quick lunch or a leisurely coffee break. Patrons bustle in and out, grabbing sodas, buying gas, lottery tickets, and more, effortlessly getting on their way. Thanks to the Marion Street location, customers on the South side of Jamestown, NY, have a one-stop shop to get what they need. While their convenience stores are a large part of their business, Robo Enterprises, INC, is home to many helpful and exciting businesses in the area.

“The business was started in 1964 by George Carlson,” Kim Carlson explains. “Tom Beichner partnered with George in the early 80s.” Aaron Beichner, alongside Kim, later joined Robo Enterprises, continuing to grow and expand the company. “This year, we are celebrating 50 years in business,” Kim says with a smile. “We have some summer celebrations in the making.”

The group has several locations in Jamestown, NY, offering a wide variety of services. Their Second Street location includes a car wash and full serve gas station, while the Marion Street location is a convenience store, deli, gas station, Laundromat, self-service dog wash and self-service car wash. A significant presence in the area, there isn’t much this company isn’t doing. From gas stations and delis to car wash equipment sales and wholesale gasoline sales, this well-rounded company offers excellent customer service and simple solutions to everyday problems. “I’m in each of the locations at least once a day,” Kim says. “My favorite part of the job is the interaction I have with our customers and employees. Every one brings their own uniqueness to Robo.”
