A normally quiet community has major plans for a day filled with fun, music, and summertime enjoyment. The Randolph Area Community Development Corporation (RACDC) is putting on their 42nd Arts and Crafts Festival, with a schedule packed full of entertaining events and activities on Sunday, June 14th, 2014. “Come down and see the different businesses that are represented!” Tonia Hall, the head of the RACDC, exclaims.
The line up of festivities include a dunk tank, a new bounce house for the younger attendees, a wide variety of vendors, live music from the band “Higher Ground”, a book sales, hay rides, and more. “I have 26 businesses that are going to be there,” Hall explains. “I am just thrilled they are going to be participating.” Hall, in her seventh year participating, is excited to see so many local businesses joining in the special event. While many festival participants are from Randolph, many are from other areas in New York and Pennsylvania.
Every year, the festival brings 4,000 to 5,000 people into the idyllic Main Street of Randolph, allowing residents and visitors alike to experience a day of good old fashioned fun. “Every year we try to do something different.” Hall says. From arts and crafts to live music and family friendly activities, this gala has it all. Hall is very grateful to the members of the RACDC for making such an event possible. “They are my committee members – they work behind the scenes with me, and they deserve a lot of credit.” Acting as a type of chamber of commerce, the RACDC is excited to work with local businesses and showcase the beauty of Randolph in such a spectacular way.
The Arts and Crafts Festival is slated for June 14th, 2014 from 10 am to 5 pm on Main Street. For more information on the event or scheduled activities, call 716-358-9701 extension 208. “It’s a lot of fun to see it all come together,” Tonia Hall says. “For me, it’s the best part.”
