The James Prendergast Library is seeking community members interested in serving on the Board of Trustees. Applications for this volunteer position are available on the library’s website at www.prendergastlibrary.org/board-of-trustees/
Trustee candidates are library users who believe in the importance of libraries and are committed to the library’s mission and strategic plan. Most importantly, trustees advocate for the library and ensure that the library serves the community’s needs.
The Prendergast Library Board of Trustees consists of eleven members. Trustees typically serve three-year terms, and a two-thirds majority must be residents of the City of Jamestown.
The board meets on the third Thursday of every month at 5:15 p.m. Currently, meetings are held virtually.
