Library users will have access to even more online resources starting October 1, with the addition of career skills courses available on the library’s website.
These online courses will be available starting October 1, and will be accessible via the library’s website, prendergastlibrary.org.
Topics covered include basic English, reading skills, basic math, math for business, consumers, and industry, and Microsoft Office. Users can take these courses at their own pace, and the classes can be accessed both inside and outside the library.
Due to funding cuts, the library cannot offer in-person computer classes or one-on-one technology help. These online classes are provided by the Chautauqua Cattaraugus Library System, with funds from the New York State Library’s Adult Literacy Library Services Programs.
