District 18 Legislator Bill Ward recently presented Pine Junction’s Covid Safety Certificate of Recognition to owner Lonnie Pound and General Manager Michelle Lloyd during a short ceremony at the restaurant. Also on hand was manager Kim Orton, who accepted the award on behalf of all the employees.
“This is a result of hard work and diligent effort by all of the people who work at Pine Junction,” Lloyd said. “Without them we never could have stayed open safely during this difficult time.”
Ward echoed that sentiment. “Because of the restriction necessitated by this pandemic, staff have been asked to go above and beyond their normal duties,” he commented. “the folks at every level here have risen to the task.”
