A few weeks ago, sticks about 4-feet high with orange ribbons tied to them turned up on every front yard for a few blocks around my neighborhood. Nobody knew what they were. Phone calls to about a half dozen city, county, and state agencies revealed nothing. Finally, the gas company explained it all. Leaky gas pipes were about be replaced. That was good news. I’m delighted with their diligence for my safety. But how about some better communication within and between important city offices? Nobody objects to necessary work, but why the mystery?
