The Busti Historical Society is sponsoring a motor coach trip to Lanterman’s Mill in Youngstown, Ohio on Saturday Nov. 28th for an old fashioned Christmas celebration. All area residents interested in this unique travel experience are invited to participate. The bus will board at the Busti Mill on Lawson Rd and leave at 7:30 am sharp and return at 7:30 pm. Cost is $45 per person for roundtrip motor coach transportation, and free admission to the mill.
In addition to the mill, travelers will be treated to folks in historic dress, artisan demonstrations and live music. The cornmeal, buckwheat and whole wheat stone ground at the mill are available for purchase along with other unique items and charming wares made by local artisans in the gift shop. There are food vendors on site, or participants can bring their own.
Other features of Mill Creek Park where the Mill is located include an observation deck overlooking Lanterman’s Falls and Covered bridge. Also the nearby East Gorge Walk and West Gorge Trail offer a dramatic peek into the area’s geologic history.
