Conewango Creek Watershed Association
On Saturday, October 29th the Falconer Rotary Club and Conewango Creek Watershed Association will be cleaning up Moon Brook in Falconer, New York, and we could use your help!
Moon Brook, part of the Conewango Creek’s watershed, originates up near the Jamestown airport and runs roughly southeast through Falconer, emptying into the Chadakoin River. The Chadakoin of course joins Cassadaga Creek, which in turn confluences with the Conewango southeast of Falconer.
Volunteers are asked to meet at Falconer Park at 12:30 p.m. on the 29th, and to bring some gloves and perhaps a few garbage bags. Please dress appropriately for whatever weather conditions we may encounter. If you have a canoe or kayak it might come in handy, as from Davis Park to the Chadakoin we may need to use them.
We will at least be cleaning up everything we can get to at Falconer Park and Davis Park, and we are now going through the proper channels
(no pun intended) to make sure it is ok to clean up Moon Brook elsewhere that day, along private property as well.
