Former Democratic County Clerk Candidate David Salley
The former Democratic County Clerk candidate David Salley completed one of his campaign goals, Hiking for Health, last week by completing the last three of twenty hikes for the challenge: 18 Mile Creek on Monday Nov. 8th, Erie County Forest on Wednesday Nov. 10th, and Little Rock City Park on Saturday Nov. 13th. He finished 737 out of 3319 participants.
Outside Chronicles, the sponsor of the challenge, after purchasing the necessary number of award patches, donates the remainder of the entry fees to local WNY charities. This year 92 dogs participated in the challenge, so their entry fees, $1700 total, went to Sadie’s Safe Harbor Canine Rescue.
“Sadie’s Safe Harbor Canine Rescue is a 501c3 not for profit organization passionately dedicated to the rescue of canines from local shelters, out of state shelters and direct surrender from owners who can no longer care for their dogs. Due to our wonderful network of volunteers, foster homes, boarding facilities, trainers and veterinarian support, we are able to provide a second chance for so many worthy furry friends.” – https://www.sadiesrescue.org/
