The Art of Recovery, an informal display of works created by Mental Health Association program participants, will be displayed in the Weeks.
Gallery lobby at Jamestown Community College March 6-13.
Refreshments will be served during a reception from 6-8 p.m. on March 6.
MHA, a peer-run organization, works with individuals who may be struggling with addiction and/or mental health issues. MHA also works with individuals who may have a variety of other issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Drawings, masks, ceramics, knitted items, and poetry created by participants in MHA therapy sessions will be displayed in the exhibit.
Students in JCC’s occupational therapy assistant program working as interns at MHA assisted with the development of the exhibit.
