The Maple Springs Garden Walk Committee held a community Garden Party on Saturday, August 4. This community event raised $2500 for the Maple Springs Volunteer Fire Company that plays an integral role in the quality of life and safety for those who live in the hamlet of Maple Springs and the surrounding area.

“Due to some unforeseen circumstances this year, we were unable to host the Maple Springs Garden Walk. In order to keep our spirit alive, the committee hosted a community Garden Party. We are a small, tight knit community who came to together for an evening of fun and fundraising. It is evident by the $2500 check that this community truly appreciates those who serve as emergency responders,” said Eileen Leary, Garden Walk Committee Chair. “We appreciate the extraordinary support of those who donated items, their time and their energy to make this event a success. We especially thank Guppy’s Restaurant and Tavern who was a major sponsor.”

“This year marked our eighth fundraising event,” Leary said. “In total, we have raised over $19,000 that we have given back to our community. In addition to raising funds, this special occasion has created a wonderful spirit of old fashioned neighborly good will and friendship. We are already planning for the 2020 Maple Springs Garden Walk which will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020.” She said. For more information contact Ms. Leary at 716-472-9945.
