Pastor Lee Magnuson was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow Award at a recent noon meeting of the Rotary Club of Jamestown at the Doubletree Hotel in Jamestown.

Magnuson is semi-retired and has served several area churches in a pastoral role. He is a graduate of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio and the Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. Magnuson lives in Bemus with his wife Kay Marker-Magnuson.
The clergyman was presented with his Paul Harris Certificate by Rotary Past President Joni Blackman and with his pin and medallion by current club president Kevin Sixbey.

A Paul Harris Fellow Award is presented to a Rotarian upon a $1,000 donation to The Rotary Foundation in their name.

The Rotary Endowment Fund became The Rotary Foundation in 1928 and awarded its first gift, $500, in 1929 to the International Society for Crippled Children.
