Leone to Announce Launch of Emergency Medical Services System in Chautauqua County

Chautauqua County Office of Emergency Services Director Julius Leone Jr. will be announcing the launch of the Chautauqua County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) division on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 1 p.m. outside of the EMS Office on 2 Academy St. in Mayville.

Chautauqua County EMS is a county-wide paramedic response team, which will work in conjunction with the county’s fire departments and ALSTAR EMS to increase the availability of EMTs to respond to emergencies during the day. The team’s first day begins on Monday, August 7 at 6 a.m.

Leone will be joined by Kevin Peebles, Project Coordinator of Chautauqua County Emergency Medical Services; Steve Cobb, Chautauqua County Emergency Medical Services Coordinator; Vince Horrigan, Chautauqua County Executive; David Himelein, Chairman of the Chautauqua County Legislature; and Edward Mager of the New York State Department of Health.
