The raffle for a neon green tool box is underway and can be seen at Group Ther-Happy on Chautauqua Avenue in Lakewood. The drawing for the winner will take place on Friday, April 30. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 and can be purchased now at Group Ther-Happy or from any LCDC board member.

“With the kind support of Matco Tools, we are thrilled to be involved with this local collaboration to bring a brand-new playground to our Village of Lakewood,” said Michelle Turner, owner of Group Therapy and LCDC board member. “We are looking forward to building a playground in our community that focuses on play, education and having fun for all family members.”

The fund raiser supports the new “Rebuilding the Way We Play” playground project at Lakewood’s Hartley Park with a groundbreaking scheduled for Spring 2022. The new playground will feature natural colors, several unique installations, zipline, dual hill racing slides and a custom imaginative-play clubhouse. Additionally, there will be new park walkways, stairs and ADA-accessible parking places.

“At Matco Tools, our employees believe in a sense of community and family so getting the exciting
opportunity to support a new playground for everyone is a worthwhile project for us,” said Nate Davidson, Matco Tools operations manager.
