Jamestown attorney John I. LaMancuso, a partner in the law firm of Lewis & Lewis, P.C., was named a “Rising Star” for the fourth time by lawyer rating service, Super Lawyers. No more than 2.5% of lawyers in the state are designated Rising Stars.

Super Lawyers is a rating service of lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The Rising Stars selection process includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations. To be eligible for designation as a Rising Star, the attorney must be 40 years old or younger and in practice for 10 years or less.

LaMancuso, a Jamestown native, was included in Super Lawyers’ Annual List of Top Attorneys in Upstate New York which was released in print in August. He was previously named to the List in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

The Jamestown attorney was also recently appointed to the New York State Bar Association House of Delegates to represent the following local bar associations: the Jamestown Bar Association, Northern Chautauqua Bar Association, Allegany County Bar Association, Genesee County Bar Association, Wyoming County Bar Association, Niagara County Bar Association, Cattaraugus County Bar Association, and Orleans County Bar Association. LaMancuso will serve during the 2022-2023 term.
