The Kiwanis Club of Lakewood is asking for help from our area business owners. We have scheduled a fund rasing effort to help CENTAUR STRIDE, which is a therapeutic horseback riding program. Centaur Stride helps over 150 area children and adults with disabilities through the use of this type of therapy. This helps build their motor skills, coordination and personal self-esteem as well.
Now, how can you help?
We simply need prizes for our upcoming fundraiser to help Kiwanis help Centaur Stride.
What fund raiser?
A Night at the Races! On Saturday, May 3, the Lakewood American Legion will be the site for six exciting thoroughbred horse races. Grandstands open at 6:30 p.m. Gate time is 7 p.m. Played on a prerecorded DVD, the winning bettors of each race will have their choice of gifts and prizes donated by local businesses. What better way to advertise and promote your business than to showcase your donation to benefit a local non-profit organization!
What can you do?
Donate a prize. Donated prizes can be just about anything – logo’ed items, purchased prizes with your name attached, or cash and we will purchase an item and attach your company name if you desire.
