[Jamestown, NY] – Jamestown Public Schools recently announced that the district’s total donation to the United Way Campaign for 2014 is $21,244.03. The campaign was co-chaired by JTA President, Chris Reilly, and Superintendent Tim O. Mains.
To thank employees for participating, Superintendent Mains and Mr. Reilly held a ceremony to honor the representatives who helped coordinate the drive, recognized the schools with the best performances, and awarded donated prizes.
The top three Jamestown schools with highest donations for 2014 were: Jamestown High School ($3,773), Lincoln Elementary School ($2,232) and Persell Middle School ($1,455). The Administration Building donated $4,143.
“Once again, the JTA is very proud of the generosity of our members and thankful that we were able to give back to the community,” said Chris Reilly, JTA President. “The United Way campaign is such a wonderful effort and we are thrilled every year to have the opportunity to contribute.”
The United Way is also appreciative of the donation.
