JAMESTOWN – Several individuals were recognized for their contributions and service to Jamestown Community College during a recent annual staff luncheon.
The President’s Award for Excellence, presented by JCC president Gregory T. DeCinque, was given to buildings and grounds director David Johnson, custodial worker Dale Frye, and student services assistant Melissa Stormer. The award reflects the recipient’s self-improvement, efforts on behalf of JCC, and excellence in professional activities.
Dr. DeCinque announced that Frye also received the State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Classified Service.

Five years: Barry Anderson, maintenance mechanic II; Dawn English, custodial worker I; Rich Garvin, maintenance mechanic II; Andrea Hatfield, student services assistant; Maria Kindberg, College Connections coordinator; Laurie Meier and Cindy Wilson, business office assistants; Ron Pfeiffer, computer technician; Crystal Rose, assistant to the vice president and dean of academic affairs; and Melissa Stormer and Rose Torres-Carvella, student services assistants.
Ten years: Christina Bair, chief telephone operator typist; Wendy Bernard, academic affairs assistant; Aimee Brunelle, athletic trainer; Linda Mecca, assistant to the vice president and dean of the Cattaraugus County Campus; Roxanne Monroe, senior business office assistant; John O?Brien, maintenance mechanic I; Colin Shaffer, arts administrator; Brian Tremblay, computer technician; and Holly Williams, continuing education assistant.
