Anyone paying attention knows the DA’s Office is struggling to get convictions on the most serious crimes. In 2019, only 17.4% of the more than 1,000 felony arrests here in Chautauqua County resulted in felony convictions. The rest of the felony cases were either reduced down, lost at trial or dismissed. Regardless of how the DA tries to spin the numbers, his felony conviction rate represents an all-time low for this County. I am running for DA to reverse this losing streak. As a former felony prosecutor and criminal defense attorney, I have over 15 years of experience working both sides of the criminal justice system. I’ve built a successful practice winning in the courtroom. I know how to fix the problems and return a winning culture to the DA’s Office.
