Jamestown Babe Ruth World Series
Jamestown will be hosting the 2023 Babe Ruth 13-15 Year Old World Series at Diethrick Park from August 12th-19th. This will be the nineteenth World Series held in Jamestown between 1980 and 2023. On Thursday, August 10th, the eight Regional Champions from across the United States (New England, Middle Atlantic, Ohio Valley, Southeast, Southwest, Mid-West Plains, Pacific Northwest, Pacific Southwest) will arrive in Jamestown. Joining these eight teams will be the Western New York State Champion and a Host Team from Jamestown area. All teams will participate in the weeklong tournament with the Champion being crowned on Saturday, August 19th.
In addition to the buyouts, we are excited to bring back the Diamond Girls (formerly called Hostesses). The Jamestown BRWS Committee will be looking for girls to serve as Diamond Girls and ambassadors to the teams. Diamond girls should be available the whole time of the series and be between the ages of 13-15 years old. Interested participants should reach out to the committee at the contacts below for more details and an application.
Another strong tradition of the BRWS here in Jamestown is our Host Family Ambassador program. We are looking for families to be ambassadors to a team in an effort to support them throughout the series. If interested please also contact us directly for more information.
To encourage as many fans as possible to attend the games and to support these players, we offer stadium buyouts, we are still looking for buyout support.
Businesses/organizations/clubs can pay a fee and the gates will be open free to all for the entire day. Upon purchasing a buyout, the following will be offered to you: a half page ad in our souvenir booklet, the opportunity to throw out a first pitch and if you know of a vocalist/musician, they could perform the National Anthem. In addition, there will be news releases on the radio and in the newspaper, along with announcements at the ball park that will advertise your business and/or sponsor.
