The Jamestown Center City Development Corporation is pleased to announce the promotion of Craig Hinderleider to General Manager of the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena (JSBA). Hinderleider will assume his new role immediately and oversee all operations and functions of the arena.
Hinderleider began his employment at the JSBA in 2002 when the building initially opened its doors. He worked as a part-time Zamboni driver until he completed his education in 2008. Upon graduating he was promoted to Operations Manager overseeing ice maintenance and general procedure. Hinderleider’s work ethic and arena knowledge gained him another promotion in 2014 where he was appointed Assistant General Manager.
“I have been dedicated to this building since the day the doors opened and I am honored and excited to take on this new role. With my experience and knowledge of this arena, I am confident in my abilities to lead the JSBA into this new, exciting era for downtown Jamestown,” Hinderleider commented after being promoted to General Manager.
As a Jamestown Lakers Alumni, Hinderleider’s love for hockey and the arena goes beyond just his every day duties. He actively participates in the Jamestown Adult Hockey League and continues to run training programs throughout the year.
Hinderleider has achieved several certifications through Serving The American Rinks (STAR), the ice rink industry educational leader in the United States. This non-profit membership organization, formed in 2000 as a joint venture between USA Hockey and U.S. Figure Skating, offers three professional designations for rink professionals with training programs emphasizing both management and operational practices. Through their training, Hinderleider became a Certified Ice Technician (CIT) and Certified Rink Administrator (CRA). In 2014, he was awarded the highest STAR professional designation of Certified Ice Rink Manager (CIRM).
“We are very pleased that Craig is assuming the role of General Manager and feel that his experience, commitment and dedication to both the Arena and the community make Craig an ideal choice,” stated Kristy Zabrodsky, Co-President, Board of Directors.
Hinderleider graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia with a Bachelor’s in Accounting in 2008. He also earned an Associate degree in Math and Science from Jamestown Community College. He currently resides in Jamestown with his wife, Nicole Hinderleider.
