Chautauqua Adult Day Services recently received two grants that allowed the purchase of four new recliners for the Present Center, which is our Alzheimer’s and dementia program. The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation provided one grant made possible through generous gifts to the Foundation. This grant was provided by the Carl Yngve and Lucille Adamson Fund that the Community Foundation administers.

The other grant was awarded by the First Presbyterian Church Mission Fund, 509 Prendergast Ave. Jamestown.

The new chairs have replaced 4 recliners and provide a comfortable place for those who attend to be in a home like setting while attending the Present Center during the day. The Present Center provides a secure, supervised setting, where everyone is family.

Chautauqua Adult Day Services, offers senior day programs for adults sixty years of age and older who live in the community. In addition, the agency also has a “Saturday Program” in Jamestown which helps participants stay involved in community events and out-door recreation. Funding is available.
