Cheryl A. Farr, administrator at The Green, a Heritage rehabilitation and skilled nursing community in Greenhurst, NY, recently earned the title of HSE (Health Services Executive) from the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards. The HSE is a national standard that qualifies administrators that have been HSE qualified by NAB to meet the licensure standards in multiple lines of service across the continuum of senior living and health services. To earn the HSE qualification, an administrator documents their education and experience, and must pass a comprehensive exam that covers the core of knowledge from all lines of service, as well as modules in NHA (Nursing Home Administration), RCAL (Resident Care/Assisted Living), and HCBS (Home and Community-Based Services).
Farr has served in the ministry of long-term care with Heritage Ministries since 1995 and has held several positions throughout the progression of her career, including payroll administrator, human resource director, and administrator. Cheryl currently serves as the administrator at The Green, where she manages the 134 bed skilled nursing, memory care, and short-term rehabilitation community. Cheryl shared that she is dedicated and passionate about making a difference in the life of each resident.
She stated, “I’m excited to add this layer of knowledge to my credentials and feel prepared to serve our residents over any of our continuums of care.”
