Across the street from Runnings on Fairmount Avenue, there is a small plaza that has several small businesses. One of these businesses is called Go To Meals. Go To Meals is a unique store that is located at 707 Fairmount Avenue in Jamestown, and it is open Monday-Friday.
Go To Meals is owned by Deon Gayton. Deon resides in Olean, New York, where he opened up his first Go To Meals store in May 2018.The idea for the store came from his college days. He was very involved in fitness, and he began preparing healthy meals for himself and others. This eventually turned into the idea for his business. About 18 months ago, Deon decided to expand his business to the Jamestown area, and he also has a location in Orchard Park, NY.
Deon and Go To Meals pride themselves on providing high quality single portion meals of healthy prepared foods, at a relatively low cost. The foods are prepared, cooked, flash frozen, packaged, and delivered to the Jamestown store throughout the week. All the meals have calories and other nutritional facts on the package.
The price of one meal is $7.99, and if you buy increments of 5 meals, there is a discounted rate. You can preorder online by Wednesday for the following Monday’s order. You can also walk in at any time to select whatever meals they have available. Some of the meals that they offer are Cajun Chicken Alfredo, Teriyaki Pork Fried Rice, Chicken Chipotle Bowl, Greek Chicken Bowl with Tzatziki, along with their best sellers The Big Mac Bowl and Buffalo Turkey Meatballs with Cauliflower Hash. The menu varies from week to week. Besides meals, they also have breakfast sandwiches, protein bars and powders, go to bites, and other healthy snacks.
Inside the Jamestown location of Go To Meals, there is a small sitting area. There is a microwave for those of you who want to warm up your food and eat it there. The Jamestown location has recently started to have a delivery option. Delivery service is for online preorders, and they will deliver within a 15-mile radius of the store. Door dash is also an option for delivery from Go To Meals to your home or office.
In the near future, Deon is hoping to expand his business into a bigger building in Jamestown. Also, he would like to encourage customers to take advantage of the discount offer in the display ad in this Gazette issue. He is offering a $2.00 discount on a purchase, if you bring the ad in or even mention it at check out.
