Arbor Day became a Holiday over 40 years ago as a means to inspire America to appreciate nature and plant a tree! It is a day to make a positive impact on our environment and our community. As one of America’s oldest Environmental Holidays, we at Frewsburg Rest Home also want to do our part.

The residents love to be an active part in keeping our facility beautiful, inside and out! Not only are they excited to choose the location and help plant the tree, they are also excited for the weather to break so they can start planting their garden! In fact, they just finished painting and planting their indoor herb garden! “Our herb garden will be a wonderful way to spice up our daily meals!” says Jeff, resident of two years from the Frewsburg Rest Home.

Arbor Day is a holiday dedicated to helping ourselves, our community and nature-thrive! “We are excited to plant this tree in our “back yard” in recognition of all that trees do for our Community!” says Juva, a 12-year resident of Frewsburg Rest Home. We encourage everyone to find their own reason to be inspired this Arbor Day and help keep our communities beautiful!
