On behalf of all veterans in the Chautauqua County area, we are proud to offer a nylon flag which has flown over the nation’s capital building in Washington D.C. to Roger Tory Peterson Organization. It was flown on this year’s Memorial Day holiday in remembrance of all veterans, both past and present. The donation was made by past commander Peter Carlo of Disabled American Veterans, chapter 47, Jamestown. Mr. Carlo has donated a total of 207 flags to schools, veterans’ organizations, police and fire departments, and area factories employing veterans. The flags are to be flown in their factories, homes and workplaces on May 24 and 25 (Sunday and memorial Day).
