A flag was donated to Lakewood American Legion 1286 on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 by Korean War Veteran Sgt. Peter Carlo on behalf of all veterans who served the United States in their time of need many times in the past, starting with World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict, Vietnam, the Gulf War, Afghanistan, etc. and they are still on alert to protect our freedom. It is the 231s nylon flag that has been donated by Mr. Carlo through the past 3 years. It is his mission to support all veterans, schools, churches, police departments, fire departments, as well as Chambers of Commerce in the area.
