SUNY Jamestown Community College welcomes five new full-time faculty members for the 2022-23 academic year.
Jonathan Blair joins the faculty as an instructor of information technology on the Jamestown Campus. Blair has a master’s degree in computer information technology from Regis University and a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Blair comes to JCC from St. Johns River State College in Palatka, Fla., where he taught computer science.
Dion Daly is an assistant professor of business/economics/global studies on the Jamestown Campus. Daly has a doctorate in educational leadership and policy from the University at Buffalo, a master’s in business administration from D’Youville, a master’s in personnel administration from Buffalo State College, and a bachelor’s in business administration from UB. Daly, who previously instructed business courses as an adjunct instructor for JCC, comes from D’Youville College.
Heather Metzger is an instructor of teacher education on the Jamestown Campus. Metzger has a master’s degree in education, business, and distributive education, and a bachelor’s in business and distributive education from Buffalo State College. Metzger previously instructed teacher education courses as an adjunct instructor for JCC. She comes from Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School, where she taught mathematics.
Sara Luther is an instructor of nursing on the Jamestown Campus. Luther is completing a master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Eastern Kentucky University and a nursing degree from JCC. Luther comes to JCC from Venango Technology Center School of Nursing.
Timothy Piazza is an assistant professor of engineering science/technology on the Jamestown Campus. Piazza has a doctorate in experimental physics from SUNY Stony Brook, a bachelor’s in physics from SUNY Albany, and an associate’s in science from JCC. Piazza comes to JCC from the Manufacturers Association of the Southern Tier, where he was a talent pipeline and apprenticeship coordinator. He has previously worked full-time and as an adjunct professor at JCC.
