On Wednesday, March 16th, members of the Falconer Volunteer Fire Department, under the direction of Chief Bryce Webster, assisted the Lake View Cemetery Association’s Grounds Department with the installation of a new metal, aircraft strength, one-hundred and sixty foot long flag pole cable on Veteran’s Grove.
The cable, which secures a 38’ x 20’ American flag to the 80’ tall flag pole, snapped last month, necessitating its replacement. The parts had arrived and it was a beautiful day with no wind and temperatures in the sixties.
The Lake View Cemetery Association’s Board of Trustees, its staff, area veterans and the entire community would like to thank the Falconer Volunteers for a job well done.
