Events at the Prendergast Library – April 2019

Happy spring! Here’s what happening at the library in April:

On SATURDAY APRIL 20 AT 1:00 P.M., come by to make a graham cracker Peep’s nest! This cute craft will take place in the Makerspace, which will be open for play. All ages welcome! To ensure supplies last, please register with the Children’s Desk at (716) 484-7135 ext. 234.

The library will run a Makerspace and movie screening of “Zootopia”on THURSDAY APRIL 25 AT 1:30 P.M. The Makerspace will be at open at 3:30 following the movie. All ages welcome are welcome, and no registration is required.

Computer classes are available at the library this month. Walk ins are welcome as space allows – to register, call (716) 484-7135 ext. 225. All classes are free and all skill levels are welcome.

  • Introduction to Excel will run on FRIDAY APRIL 19, AT 10:00 A.M.
  • Introduction to the Internet will run on TUESDAY APRIL 30 AT 6:00 P.M.

We continue to offer a variety of programming, including our genealogy lab, adult coloring club, knitting club, and more! Take a look at our programming calendar for more details. All programs are free!

Our regular children’s programming continues, with free, fun activities for kids every weekday from 3:30-5:00.

  • Minecraft Club is every Monday, and the Makerspace is open Tuesdays-Fridays. Check us out on Facebook or at to see our schedule of activities in the Makerspace.
  • Storytimes run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:30. Come by for stories, songs, and open play!
