David Painter Receives Paul Harris Fellow Award

The Rotary Club of Jamestown presented David Painter, President and CEO of Ahlstrom Schaeffer Electric Corp., with his first Paul Harris Fellow Award. The Club’s Foundation Chairman, Greg Jones, made the presentation assisted by Past President Joni Blackman and current President, Kevin Sixbey at a recent noon meeting of the Club at the Doubletree Hotel.

Dave attended Jamestown Public Schools and graduated with the highest GPA in the Industrial Careers Center and continued on to graduate from Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo.

He has worked in the Electrical contracting business for many years and ultimately purchased the Ahlstrom-Schaeffer Electric Corp, located at 46 Hopkins Ave, Jamestown.

David is an avid car restorer in his spare time. He joined Rotary in 2015.

The Rotary Foundation has awarded over $86.5 million in funding to 1359 grants during the last reported year (2018) in the fields of: disease prevention, clean water provision, education, growing local economies, savings mothers and children and promoting peace.

The Paul Harris Award is given when a donation of $1,000 is given to the foundation in the recipient’s name.
