On Thursday at 1 p.m., the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation will host a live webinar for high school seniors, college students and their parents to walk them through the Foundation’s scholarship application process.

Moderated by Michelle Frederickson, CRCF scholarship officer, the webinar will show students how to complete the Foundation’s general scholarship application, as well as, answer commonly asked questions and offer tips to make their application stand out.

“While we realize this is a difficult time for students as they try and navigate what their college experience may look like next year, we want to reassure them that the Community Foundation is committed to helping them further their education,” Frederickson said.

In 2019, the Foundation awarded 750 Chautauqua County undergraduate and graduate students more than $1.3 million. In addition to helping pay for tuition costs, CRCF scholarships can be used to cover any expenses related to a student’s education, such as books, meals, transportation, room and board, and lab work to name a few.

Currently, the Community Foundation administers more than 300 scholarships to assist undergraduate and graduate students of all ages further their education at two-year and four-year colleges and universities. There is one application for students to complete that matches them to every scholarship they qualify for.
