Community Music Project Looking for Singers.

Audubon Community Nature Center is looking for volunteers, vendors and supporters for their annual Monarch Butterfly Festival on Saturday, August 27. Local author Melissa Betrus is pictured in front of milkweed, which is the only food of Monarch caterpillars. She will have her book, Life Among the Milkweed, available.

The CMP Chorale is currently looking for singers to join our very popular ensemble and reestablish our pre-COVID greatness. The CMP Chorale was formed in 2018 with over 90 singers comprised of community members from Ashville, Mayville, Stow, Findley Lake, Randolph, Clymer, Portland, Panama, Dunkirk, Frewsburg, Westfield, Fredonia, Ellington, Chautauqua, Warren Pa, Stockton, Sinclairville, Falconer, Jamestown and Lakewood.

The CMP Chorale is open to all without audition nor experience.
Singing is fundamental and should be experienced by all.
Sing together: Stay together! The Chorale will present a concert entitled ‘Bach to Beatles’ on October 9, 2022. Rehearsals begin on August 15 from 7-9 pm at 1st Presbyterian Church, Jamestown. For complete information visit or call 716-664-2227.

Community Music Project, Inc., founded in 1982, is a not-for-profit arts organization in Jamestown, NY that focuses on music education and performance for adults and children throughout the Western New York area. Our ensembles give 5-7 concerts per year and are admission free, promoting our “Music for All” initiative. Children’s Music Studio classes run from Sept-Dec and May. Its mission is “To build community by providing educational opportunities and encouraging participation in music expression through programs for composers, performers, and listeners of all ages and skill levels in a variety of musical styles.”
