Chautauqua Chamber Singers and the Jamestown Choral Society have been planning their 2016-2017 season and it looks to be an exciting year to come. They will begin on November 6th at St. James Church with their memorial concert entitled “A Farewell”, songs that reflect the importance of All Saints Day. On January 7th and 8th, The Chamber Singers will continue the tradition of their 12th Night Concert. The concert will be presented in Jamestown at First Presbyterian Church as well as in Warren at First Lutheran. On March 26th, the Jamestown Choral Society will present a concert of ‘Celestial Songs’ at Christ First UM Church. Finishing the CMP season will be a Chamber Singer concert entitled “A Choral Treasure- Alice Parker- Arranger/Composer Folk Songs and Spirituals.” on May 7th. Many of the chamber singers were fortunate to sing with Alice Parker at Chautauqua Institution this summer and CMP has decided illuminate this choral music icon.
If you wish to purchase season tickets to all of our concerts, at a discounted price, please contact us by October 1, through our website, communitymusicproject.com or call 664-2227. If you’d like to sing in one of our groups, please contact as well. We are always looking for new singing voices.
