Get ready for non-stop laughter at the National Comedy Center’s Lucille Ball Comedy Festival in Jamestown, New York. The ever-popular Stand-Up Showcase takes place on Saturday, August 5th at 7:00 PM at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts, featuring some of the best comedians from around the country including Pat Hazell, Marcus Monroe, Dean Edwards, Chris Martin, and Rachel Feinstein.
The Stand-Up Showcase has been a fan favorite for festival attendees every year. Malachi Livermore, National Comedy Center’s Vice President of Programming and Guest Experiences, stated, “We are excited to be presenting some of the top comedians in the country in a one-of-a-kind showcase that can only be seen in Jamestown, NY. The Showcase rounds out this year’s festival weekend with a great show at a great price.”
The talented comedians taking the stage have been featured on Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, Last Comic Standing, Conan, Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Late Show with David Letterman, and more. Each performer will bring their own unique brand of humor to the stage and take the audience on a laugh-filled journey featuring a broad variety of comedic styles.
Before and after the show, stop by the festival’s free Block Party, happening right outside the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts on 3rd Street at 5:30 PM. Enjoy live music from local band Charity Nuse and Friends, beer, wine, food trucks and more.
Comedy fans looking for edgier humor can catch Comedy Late Night on August 3rd, 4th, and 5th in the National Comedy Center’s Tropicana Club, a recreation of Ricky Ricardo’s famous Manhattan nightclub from I Love Lucy, located above the Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum in Jamestown. There will be two shows each night, starting at 9:30 PM (nearly sold out) & 11:30 PM (tickets available), with different comedic talent featured each evening. Please note that Comedy Late Night shows feature adult content.
