The Veterans of Modern Warfare Chapter 20 of Jamestown is selling Christmas trees (donations start at $20) and homemade fresh wreaths (donations start at $5) to raise funds to send care packages overseas. Sale starts Black Friday, November 24th at 11:00 a.m. until sold out, in front of Harley Davidson of Jamestown at the intersection of Rte 394 and I86. The sale continues on Monday through Thursday between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. and Friday through Sunday between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

All proceeds are benefiting the Veterans of Modern Warfare CH 20 in their efforts to help Blue Star Mothers – mothers of military personnel currently on active service duty – send Christmas care packages to troops overseas, sending care packages throughout the year and donating to local veterans in need. The Blue Star Mothers will be accepting donations inside Harley Davidson and at the tree lot during Christmas tree sales.

VMW sends packages continuously throughout the year. These care packages filled with basic necessities not typically available where they are posted can help ease the difficulty of being so far from home, family and friends. Each care package sent has an estimated value of $85, roughly $60 in supplies and $20 and $25 to ship.
