“This space is dedicated to jobseekers of greater Jamestown and the employers who need them,” said Katie Giese, Executive Director of Chautauqua Works, as she proudly cut the purple ribbon that officially opened their new workspace and client service center in downtown Jamestown’s newly renovated Signature Center on Thursday, November 3, 2016.

The Chautauqua Works One-Stop Center, now located at the corner of Third and Main Streets in Jamestown, provides a network of comprehensive services and up to date labor market information designed to match workers and jobseekers with local employment opportunities.

“I want to thank so many local businesses, Jamestown city services and elected officials for their support in creating this new and beautifully designed, purpose-built space,” Giese said. County executive Vince Horrigan, New York State Assemblyman Andy Goodell, along with the Jamestown Renaissance Corporation and dozens of other local and regional stakeholders, attended the ribbon cutting and Grand Opening ceremony in the new Chautauqua works offices and conference space on the ground floor of the Signature Center, the newly renovated and restored mid-20th century, Art Deco building which was previously home to the downtown M&T Bank.

“This beautiful new space was specifically designed for us by the building’s new owner, local businessman George Patti,” Giese said. GPatti Development LLC engaged design specialist Lori Galster, Director of Project Management and Design for CJM Construction Consulting to spearheaded the renovation project for Patti. The new facility provides for career counseling in spacious and comfortable areas, offers conference spaces for workshops, work readiness training, personal interviews and for jobseekers to learn about new employment opportunities.
