Chautauqua Rails to Trails
Chautauqua Rails to Trails has many culverts under its rail–trail that allow water to flow from one side of the trail to the other. The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation provided funds to hire professional engineers to survey all of the 50 or more culverts to evaluate their status and maintenance needs. Pictured are engineers, Joe Monte on the left and Brad Grisley on the right, in one of the largest culverts, which happens to be in good shape.
