To say thank you to our veteran’s and active military the Chautauqua County Humane Society will hold a special adoption Pawp-Up is this Saturday from 11am to 2pm at Runnings, 720 Fairmount Avenue in Jamestown.

Meet your next furry family member and visitors with Military I.D. will be eligible to have the adoption fee waived on dogs over 6 months and cats over 1 year old. Standard adoption processes still apply. CCHS Senior Programs Director Brian Papalia said, “We are excited to honor our local veterans and active servicemembers in this way. There is no better thank you than the love and companionship a pet can provide. We are also incredibly grateful to have partners like Happy Hounds Hotel and Day Spa, Runnings, and Kinetic by Windstream partnering with us to make this event possible.” Papalia also said , “We are putting the spotlight on our Veteran’s program at Runnings this Saturday, but this program is available year-round. We always encourage our local veterans to stop by the shelter to take advantage of this offer.”

Kinetic by Windstream will be giving out Kinetic Pet Packs to adopters and offering folks the opportunity to write a letter of support to our troops stationed all over the globe. See all available animals and learn more at Chqhumane.org.

The mission of the Chautauqua County Humane Society is to improve and save lives through compassionate care, advocacy for animals, and commitment to the community.
