Let the Chamber Help with Your Grand Opening Plans

It takes more than luck for a business to be successful. It requires planning and work. Fortunately, there are a number of resources available locally to help give businesses the right start. From the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency to the Small Business Development Center to the Fredonia Technology Incubator, and many more, there are people available in Chautauqua County to help you get started in the business world and to help keep you on track.

No matter the type or size of your business, the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce can help you launch on the right foot. The Chamber has a dedicated staff and processes in place to help your business plan and execute a grand opening complete with a ribbon cutting, media attention, local dignitaries in attendance, and more. Whether you are opening a restaurant, a retail establishment, an office, or a manufacturing firm, we can help you make decisions and lead you in the right direction.

Unless you are a professional event planner, you may not have considered what it takes to set up and host a meaningful opening event. We can discuss the many options with you, from small events for family and employees to large open house style events, the Chamber can provide you with some helpful hints. Among the items we can supply: a huge pair of working scissors and a very wide red ribbon that will both stand out in your grand opening photos and for any video you may choose to do. We partner with a number of other local organizations and keep up to date contact lists for local elected officials, media, and others that may be valuable guests at your event. We have done this many times and worked with businesses of all types throughout Chautauqua County. You do not have to be a Chamber member to seek our help with a ribbon cutting event – we are happy to assist start-up businesses!

In addition, if your business has been around for a while and you are planning an anniversary celebration, let the Chamber of Commerce help to publicize your event. Chamber member businesses can submit information for inclusion into our Chautauqua Business Weekly email newsletter and help spread the word to local media to invite attendees.

For a consultation on events your business may be planning, contact the Chamber staff at (716) 484-1101 or (716) 366-6200. Any of our Community Chamber Coordinators or in-office personnel will be happy to help you create a successful grand opening or other event.
