BPU Fourth of July Closing & Change in Solid Waste Collection

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU) offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of the Fourth of July.

The Fourth of July also is a holiday for BPU Solid Waste employees. Therefore, normal Thursday garbage collection will take place on Friday, July 5. Regular Friday collection will take place on Saturday, July 6.

Recycling for July 1-6 is glass.

Customers who need to pay bills after-hours are reminded that on-line payments may be made by credit card, debit card and e-check at www.jamestownbpu.com. Phone payments also may be made by credit card, debit card and e-check, by calling 661-1660, ext. 3.

Checks may be left in drop-off boxes located at the top of the BPU’s “D” driveway, 92 Steele Street; outside City Hall on Tracy Plaza; and outside the Town of Ellicott Building in Falconer. Payments left after-hours should only be made by check.
