This will include: East Ellicott, the Mason Industrial Park, Lyndon Boulevard and all other intersecting streets.
In addition, preliminary flushing will take place from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Friday, October 5, in the area of Aldren, Ralph, Valmeere and Mapleshade which may cause an isolated disturbance in that section of the Village.
Water crews then will move through the rest of the system each Sunday through Thursday for approximately 10 nights between the hours of 8 p.m. – 4 a.m.
Flushing may cause discolored water over a wide area & neighboring streets may be affected. Residents may want to stock a one day supply of water for drinking and cooking before flushing begins. The water is not harmful, but appearance may be discolored. Care should be taken not to draw the discolored water into laundry and hot water systems. If you can avoid turning on faucets or flush toilets during flushing times, you may not notice flushing in your area.
