Russ Bonfiglio has been endorsed by the Jamestown Republican and Conservative parties for the Jamestown City Council At-Large seat in the upcoming November election.
Bonfiglio is new to politics, but he’s not new to the city. Bonfiglio not only grew up in Jamestown, but he raised two children in the city as well. He gives back to the community by serving on the YMCA Board of Directors, the YMCA Housing Authority Board, and is a Boys and Girls Club alumni. Bonfiglio continues to give his time to the city by volunteering as a Midget Football league coach for 12 years, a Boys and Girls Club soccer coach for several years, and a helping hand at the National Comedy Center. Additionally, he has been a local basketball official for 16 years and a local football referee for 31 years.
“As a lifelong resident of Jamestown, I am invested in this city – its people, its safety, and its growth.” Bonfiglio knows Jamestown has the potential to be the place where people want to visit again and again and where young people want to call home.
As the latter as his goal, Bonfiglio plans to find funding and solutions for the number of abandoned homes in the city as well as to create affordable housing for both those living in Jamestown already and those wanting to live in Jamestown. Furthermore, with safety as a priority, Bonfiglio aims to make changes to keep repeat offenders off the street.
“My priorities are to keep Jamestown progressing and help create a community that is welcoming, safe, and exciting.”
While Bonfiglio knows many from the community, he is eager to hear from and get to know more of Jamestown’s people. Bonfiglio can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org for questions and comments.
