A mouth–watering chicken and ribs barbecue dinner, lots of laughs and a suspense–building reverse draw raffle for cash up to the grand prize of $1,000 are on the menu of the Rotary Club of Westfield–Mayville’s Gold Rush event. Will you be the holder of a cash winning ticket? This fun, casual affair is set for Saturday, October 27 from 6 p.m. to about 9 p.m. at Eason Hall, 23 Elm Street in Westfield, NY.

The Chiavetta’s BBQ dinner, which is from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., includes BBQ chicken & ribs, baked beans, coleslaw, roll and butter, as well as dessert, soft drinks, coffee, and water. Adults are reminded that is a BYOB event. Everyone is invited to bring their favorite beverages and snacks to enjoy during the drawing of the tickets, and to have a party within the party.

Beginning at 6:45 p.m., there will be the reverse draw raffle for cash prizes from $10 to $1,000, plus a 50/50 ticket drawing for more cash.  Raffle participants must be at least 18 years of age, and winners need not be present. Tickets, which are $30 each, are going fast! Only 275 tickets will be sold, so interested folks are encouraged to purchase tickets as soon as possible. Tickets may be obtained by contacting Linda Dunn at (716) 326–3012 or jbzip@roadrunner.com, or any Westfield–Mayville Rotary Club member.

Often individuals purchase more than one ticket in order to increase the odds of having their lucky tickets randomly drawn from the barrel.  Also, these tickets make great gifts for family, friends and colleagues. Though some of the tickets do not win cash prizes for their holders, excitement builds as less tickets are left in the barrel and the value of the cash prizes rises!

Get your Gold Rush tickets this week, gather a group of folks together and come to the October 27 Gold Rush at Eason Hall in Westfield. Proceeds from this event support the Rotary Club of Westfield–Mayville’s local service projects and youth scholarships.
