Long time Barbershopper George Jarrell was recently honored by the Jamestown Harmony Express Barbershop Chorus. The Barbershopper of the Year Award was given to Mr. Jarrell for his dedicated work in the society both on the local level as well as on the International and the Seneca Land District level. This marks the fourth time the award has been presented to him. He also is proud to have been the recipient of the prestigious “Hall of Fame” Seneca Land District Award.

He was one of the co-founders of the Jamestown Harmony Express in 1986 and has served on most every committee and board locally as well as on the district level. Jarrell has 17 “men of Note” awards (sponsored 17 men to Barbershoping). He has sung baritone in three quartets, currently singing with the Harmony Production Company Quartet.
