American Red Cross of Southwestern NY Seeking Hometown Hero Nominations

The Southwestern N.Y. Chapter of the American Red Cross along with Cummins Engine JEP is requesting nominations for this year’s Hometown Hero celebration. The Hometown Hero campaign was created to acknowledge the extraordinary actions of Chautauqua County citizens. This is the twelfth year that Hometown Heroes have been recognized by the American Red Cross Chapter in Chautauqua County.

Nominations are accepted for citizens in the following categories; Humanitarian, sponsored by Cummins Engine JEP; Firefighter, sponsored by Everyday’s Super True Value; Law Enforcement, sponsored by Farm Fresh Foods; Emergency and Medical Personnel, sponsored by Chautauqua Patrons Insurance, Co.; Workplace, sponsored by Cummins Engine JEP.; Youth, sponsored by Key Bank; and Animal Rescue, sponsored by Nestlé Purina PetCare. Table sponsors – Jamestown Mattress and Van Rensselaer & Son Funeral Home. Nomination forms will be accepted until April 7, 2014.

The 2014 Hometown Heroes award winners will be selected by a group of community leaders. A celebration breakfast and recognition will occur on May 16, 2014 at the Moon Brook Country Club in Jamestown. The Hometown Hero campaign is a chance to acknowledge those neighbors, friends, and community members that go above the call of duty.
